Common questions
What do I need to demolish a house in NYC?
Most full demolitions in New York City need a Department of Buildings demolition permit, confirmation that utilities have been shut off, and an asbestos inspection before work starts. We'll walk you through what your building needs.
Can you remove just the foundation or a slab?
Yes. We break out and remove foundations, slabs, footings and old concrete, then backfill and compact the area.
What happens to the debris?
We haul it away. Concrete, metal and clean fill are separated so they can be recycled where possible.
Can you prepare the lot for new construction after demo?
Yes. That's one of the main reasons clients hire us. After demolition we can move straight into excavation and site development.
